There are many good reasons you might want to try and build considerably more muscle as quickly as you can.

It might be that you are keen to look good naked and that you want to go for the more muscly approach in order to make that happen – which can often be one of the more effective ways of doing that. Or you might just enjoy the feeling of confidence and masculinity that you feel when you have been working on your muscles, which is certainly a feeling that can’t easily be replicated. Or maybe you are just keen to push yourself, and you see muscle building as just another challenge to get involved in. Whatever it is, it’s good to know that there are plenty of things you can do in order to make sure you get the most out of it – and those are what we are going to look at today.

Diet First

The most important thing, when you are engaging in any new workout is to make sure that you have got the diet down first. It might even be that you already have more muscle than you think you have, but you just can’t see it because there is a layer of fat covering it up. Moreover, having the right diet will make your workouts more effective, reduce your burnout, and generally mean that you can speed up the whole process of bulking up. So make sure that you are generally keeping your carbs and fat low, and keep your protein relatively high. You should aim for a whole food only diet, and avoid processed foods. And remember that you don’t need to eat copious amounts of meat in order to build muscle. Generally, you can build muscle using the protein from plants and nuts.

Workouts

The most important two things with building muscle workouts are that you need to increase their power and you need to keep it regular. You will find that it is often easier to increase the power on the last workout if you take a pre workout supplement, although that is not for everyone and is not absolutely necessary. But in general, you should aim to be lifting more and more weight each time you hit the gym, otherwise, you are just not doing anything to really build that muscle at all. You also need to make sure you are regular, and that you don’t let yourself fail to go to the gym too often.

Resting

Resting is the most important part of the process, for it is during this phase that the actual muscle building takes place. When your muscles rest after a workout, they essentially have to repair themselves, which they do bigger than before, and that is why your muscle grows. You are basically causing them damage during exercise, and rest is when the magic really happens. So make sure that you allow yourself plenty of rest between workouts so that you can recover and your muscles can grow.
