Jennifer Harper debuts her latest single “Butterfly” with a beautiful video to accompany the song.

“Butterfly” heralds a message of hope and unity. Conceived and written amidst the dawn of the Age of Aquarius, it is more than just a song – it is a heartfelt call to inspire and unite people together.

Recorded against the vibrant backdrop of New York City, the song encapsulates themes of peace, openness, and spiritual elevation, mirroring humanity’s collective quest for enlightenment.

Like the metamorphosis of a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, the song symbolises the resilience of the human spirit urging individuals to persevere in the face of life’s challenges and to pursue their dreams relentlessly.

Jennifer shares the inspiration behind the song, emphasising her desire to engage listeners in introspection rather than mere preaching. Through thought-provoking questions like “What is the key to your heart?” and “How does it feel to let in the light?” she aims to ignite a deeper exploration of the self:

“I wanted the song to contribute to lifting consciousness.  It’s a very Age of Aquarius message, which is very me. It was my desire to bring you along in my belief and vision of where we can be headed as a collective.  Especially in these times of turmoil when many are not aligned to this vision and need encouragement.

Together we sing of love

Together we walk in peace

Together we live in harmony

Together we are one

It is my hope that the act of singing the final verse over and over activates this feeling in you.   That you may know we are on this path to higher consciousness together. To remind you We are One”.

The accompanying video to “Butterfly” is mesmerizing, with breath-taking cinematography and captivating imagery.

From the outset, viewers are transported into a kaleidoscopic realm brimming with vibrant colors and enchanting visuals. Each frame is composed to draw the audience deeper into the song’s ethereal ambience. With the use of vivid colors, bursting forth with electrifying intensity, ranging from neon hues to soft pastels, create a mesmerizing spectacle that captivates the senses. Complemented by hypnotic imagery, including swirling patterns and intricate designs, the video exudes a dreamlike beauty that is both haunting and enchanting.

Videographer Tobias LaMontagne worked his magic with the song to create this beautiful video.

Harper is renowned for her soulful compositions which are infused with wisdom from Gene Keys and Human Design. Gene Keys is a ground breaking system that transcends conventional categorization and offers a roadmap to unlock your innate potential and discover your true self. By exploring your genetic imprints – referred to as “gene keys” – individuals embark on a profound journey of self-discovery, uncovering hidden or dormant talents and embracing their inherent gifts.

In this way, “Butterfly” encourages individuals to transcend their personal desires and embrace a broader sense of peace and unity, particularly in these turbulent times. Jennifer hopes to elevate consciousness and foster collective alignment with a vision of harmony and progress.

Jennifer’s upcoming album “Change is Coming” promises to continue this journey of introspection and inspiration. Teaming up with Los Angeles producer and multi-instrumentalist Tom Rossi, Harper has refined her mantra like compositions into a distinct sound. Collaborating with NY producer and composer Matt Anthony added an ethereal quality to her music. Together, they crafted songs on “Change Is Coming” that both soothe the soul and inspire listeners to embrace positivity.

Harper’s music has gained traction and she has performed at prominent venues across NYC, including Rockwood Music Hall, The Cutting Room, and The Bitter End. She also has made appearances on local radio stations like 100.7 FM WHUD and performed on the popular morning show “CT Style.”

I fell in love with music when I first picked up a guitar at age 8. When I played, my friends and family would smile and spill with joy over the music I played, even though it was never Grammy quality. While my music career never made it past high school, my love for music never waivered. I loved the feeling of bringing a smile to someone's face through music and wanted to keep that passion going. So, I took it upon myself to continue to support and promote artists by writing about their music. This way, I can support my personal passion for music and bring entertain and joy to others through music.  Outside my love for music, I do enjoy a good hike and being in the outdoors. My favorite place that I've hiked is in Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. I love to travel too. I've been to Costa Rica, Vancouver, BC, and England, but the best place by far is Germany on Oktoberfest. I liken that experience to being in New Orleans on Mardi Gras. I like a good book now and then, but I'm more of a streaming fiend. I live for crime docuseries on Netflix, veterinary shows on National Geographic, and re-watching Scrubs on Hulu.
