Jaxon is a true born and bread Austin artist with a sound that reflects and brings together his city and I believe this is why he has been so successful at creating a local fan base.

With amazing talent across the board Jaxon plays all the instruments, sings and raps and writes every word on all his songs. With a love for music and a genuine desire to touch and inspire people in a positive way – I would say the sky is the limit for Jaxon. I am excited to see a new trail blazed by a fresh take and unique sound in a legendary music city.

What does your music say about you?

Everything, I hope. I’m trying to convey every side of me and the human experience in general. I want my music to be like a get- to know- you guide for me; I’m trying to be as vulnerable as possible.

What sets your music apart? What is unique, or at least uncommon?

My band is amazing, I love all those guys and we are a unique mix but aside from that my main focus in music is to be genre-bending, so the hope is that each song is like nothing you’ve ever heard before.

What draws you to your preferred genre?

Well, I love rap and hip-hop music, always have and I love old soul and fun music so for this album I was trying to mix the two in a new modern way.  Also, I can’t sing for shit, so I just sound better when I’m rapping but I’m working on that.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Mac Miller for sure

What is your top two favorite songs of all time? Why those songs?

Man, that’s hard I’ll give you five.

  •       Dunno by Mac Miller
  •       Love by Kid Cudi
  •       Valerie by Amy Winehouse
  •       Here we go by Mac Miller
  •       And as of right now, Skin by Dijon

What are your musical plans for the next 12 months or so?

I just finished an album that will come out this summer with singles sprinkled around all spring and then after that my band members will start releasing their self-titled albums that I helped produce, the first being Frances Lovegoods and I can’t wait!

If you could be a superhero, what would your superpower be and your superhero name?

I would be able to talk to dogs and my name would be “What up dog”

What historical figure would you love to see in 21st century life?

Captain Jack Sparrow

Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

Danny Devito

Which are cooler? Dinosaurs or Dragons?

Dragons for sure and they existed

What do you think the greatest invention has been?

I really like milk duds
