Peterborough-bred 3-piece indie-pop band Idolising Nova further solidify their sound with the release of their new single ‘Party Through The Night’, the follow-up to their most acclaimed track yet ‘Run Away’. With an undeniable knack for crafting cleverly catchy, anthemic choruses, the band have already been supported by the likes of Kerrang! Radio and BBC Radio 2. While, on the live front, the band have supported the wildly popular band The Vamps, alongside a string of sold-out hometown shows.
They are writing sick, timeless tunes and it’s very exciting” – Kerrang Radio (Alex Baker)
“Seamless banger of a track with cracking production “– Subba-Cultcha
“Idolising Nova have made themselves a name as a captivating live act” – Indie Is Not A Genre
Since releasing their debut track ‘Discover’ back in 2016, the band have continually evolved their sound in a refreshingly innovative manner. While still retaining a firm, yet flexible, grip on the indie guitar scene, the band also unapologetically fuse pop influences into their music in a delightfully cohesive yet unpredictable manner. For any new listener, ‘Party Through The Night’ serves as bright, boisterous introduction to the band; with a sound that’s reminiscent of the early work of The Hunna and the more euphoric offerings from Eliza and The Bear.
It would be hard to argue that ‘Party Through The Night’ and previous offering ‘Run Away’ don’t showcase an undeniable evolution in the band’s sound, while still encompassing the band’s trademark sing-a-long choruses and ingeniously infective lyricism. With their latest single, the band undoubtably look set to exceed even their fan’s lofty expectations as ‘Party Through The Night’ manages to retain everything that made their prior releases so adored, while still showcasing a slick, stylish new edge to their music.
Speaking of ‘Party Through The Night’, Idolising Nova explains:
‘Party Through The Night’ tells the story of how you go through your normal day with all your problems and worries going through your mind, but all you want to be doing is going out partying with your friends and having fun. You have your night out partying and then you go your separate ways back to reality, your normal everyday life.
The band’s endlessly energetic live show saw them land a coveted support slot on The Vamp’s Night and Day European Tour, taking in European cities such as Amsterdam, Paris and Cologne. Slots at 110 Above, Y Not Festival and La French Escapade have provided Idolising Nova with further opportunities to hone their live set, allowing them to flourish into a band who’ve quickly become known for their scintillating performances.
The Peterborough three-piece comprised of Jack Fulton Smith (bass & lead vocals), Kris Lee (guitar) and Kyle O’Sullivan (drums & backing vocals) also take great pride in returning to their hometown to allow their fans to experience their newly reinvigorated live set. Having already completely sold-out three hometown shows, it’s evident that the intrigue and excitement surrounding the band is frantically feverish. While the Rest of the World might not have cottoned on the band’s infectious sound just yet, plays on the likes of BBC Radio 2, ITV’s This Morning and BBC Introducing are certainly helping the band reach the audience they evidently deserve.
Much like the lyrical sentiment of their new single ‘Party Through The Night’, Idolising Nova aim to provide listeners with some much needed escapism with their anthemic choruses and infectious energy providing some much needed to rest bite from the increasingly bleak reality we all face on a daily basis.
