Ariel Arbisser has released her brand new single “Bred for This,” from her upcoming album out in early 2024.

“Bred for This” is contemporary pop which Arbisser calls dramatic electro pop, and full of energy. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Sara Bareilles, Adele, Alice Russell, and Laura Nyro, Arbisser skilfully blends hypnotic melodies and strong vocals to bring profound lyrics to life.

It is a well developed song with memorable lyrics, shedding some light on the topic of women being raised in a society to manage their pain and mistreatment silently:

I can’t communicate how proud I am of this track. It contains so much of me and the process I went through the last few years to heal from abuse and journey through PTSD. But the message is truly universal and applies to every type of connection – platonic, familial, romantic, etc.

Arbisser’s rich vocals seamlessly integrate with the rhythm of the track. Addressing difficult topics, it is a positive message to speak up, with a little edge.

The artist’s musical evolution, which begins in middle America Iowa to her now current home in Ithaca, New York, is a result of her true dedication to the music she has chosen. Overcoming personal challenges, her debut solo album, “Risk of Love,” was hailed as a musical triumph, showing resilience and earning acclaim as an auditory delight.

Looking head, Arbisser’s upcoming album “Ingenue Corrupt,” due for release in January 2024, promises to be a revealing chapter in her evolving narrative. Exploring themes of love, lust, sub/dom relationships, and societal issues, the album reflects Arbisser’s journey through therapy, journalling, and community support.

“Bred for This” offers a beautifully crafted glimpse into her world, leaving listeners eagerly anticipating the next single and album release.

Written by Ariel Arbisser, Andy Adelewitz, and Colleen Countryman, the track was mixed by Chris Ploss at Sunwood Recording, and mastered by Steve Goldman at Four Legs Records.

You can listen to “Bred for This” on all digital platforms, including Spotify.

I fell in love with music when I first picked up a guitar at age 8. When I played, my friends and family would smile and spill with joy over the music I played, even though it was never Grammy quality. While my music career never made it past high school, my love for music never waivered. I loved the feeling of bringing a smile to someone's face through music and wanted to keep that passion going. So, I took it upon myself to continue to support and promote artists by writing about their music. This way, I can support my personal passion for music and bring entertain and joy to others through music.  Outside my love for music, I do enjoy a good hike and being in the outdoors. My favorite place that I've hiked is in Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. I love to travel too. I've been to Costa Rica, Vancouver, BC, and England, but the best place by far is Germany on Oktoberfest. I liken that experience to being in New Orleans on Mardi Gras. I like a good book now and then, but I'm more of a streaming fiend. I live for crime docuseries on Netflix, veterinary shows on National Geographic, and re-watching Scrubs on Hulu.
