Winning an argument may feel like a major victory in the moment, but it can do some pretty severe damage to a relationship.

Rising alt-pop artist BRE’s new single, “IDNTBR,” addresses the inevitable feeling of anger we all feel in an argument, and being able to take a step back from that to examine the real problem. The pop-rock ballad showcases BRE’s impressive range and powerhouse sound. We are excited to add this one to our playlists!

“‘IDNTBR’ (or I Don’t Need to Be Right) is a song about valuing your relationships more than your need to win an argument. Something I’ve learned over the years is that no matter how good it feels in the moment to win a fight or say “I told you so!”, the lasting damage it does to your relationship doesn’t make it worth it. This song is about picking your battles, and remembering what’s most important when in a disagreement – fighting the problem and not each other.” – BRE

Co-produced by BRE and Pascal Pahl, mastered by Dale Becker (Doja Cat, Justin Bieber), and vocally engineered by Paul Redel (Gayle, ZZ Ward), “IDNTBR” is a realization of the side effects an argument might have on a relationship. Influenced by artists such as Florence and the Machine, Grimes, Banks, and Sevdalzia, BRE demonstrates her awe-inspiring vocal strength and pop-rock/synth production style on her newest single. With common themes of empowerment, self-awareness, and hope in her discography, BRE is no doubt a force to be reckoned with.
