Hailing from New Zealand and currently residing in Berlin, Noah Slee is fast making waves as one of the most innovative, genre-blending R&B artists coming through in the scene.

The turn of 2019 sees the release of Noah’s ‘Otherland’ EP – a remixed edition of Noah’s recent album of the same title. The EP takes the shape of three handpicked offerings; leading it’s release DKVPZ’s carefully crafted remix of ‘DGAF’. The São Paulo-based duo take Noah’s soft vocals, joyfully bringing out the original’s underlying Tropicalia influence, their playful production touches bringing subtle inflections reminiscent of a 90’s video game.

Having initially made his electro-tinged R&B imprint in 2016 with his debut EP ‘To your inner hippie & cos you fly as fuck’, Noah would then release his award-winning debut album ‘Otherland’ one year later. From emotive lyricism and delicate falsettos in ‘Stayed’ to collaborations with the heavily hyped Shiloh Dynasty on ‘DGAF’ and multi-instrumentalist and fellow New Zealander Jordan Rakei on ‘Reality’, it’s no surprise the project garnered impressive support from the likes of Complex, NPR and Highsnobiety to name a few.

Whilst touring the critically-acclaimed album, Noah turned his hand to the worlds of visual-art and dance, releasing the stunning short-film ‘…and so, we move to the Otherlands’. Through a series of raw shorts, the film tells a story about identity and the integration of a patchwork of selves that occur as we move through Otherlands. Weaving together political, sexual and cultural strands, the pieces give voice to both the unique and shared aspects of struggle, healing and celebration; all through dance.

With 2018 a milestone year for the multitalented artist, 2019 looks to be the year Noah Slee becomes a bonafide breakthrough name.
