Loudis the next single from Alt-Pop UK group, Gwen and the Good Thing.
‘Combining the sounds of singer/songwriter Gwen Taylor and ‘the Good Thing’, producer Chris Norrish, expect anthemic choruses and infectious rhythms, as Gwen’s soaring vocals interlock with a fresh, experimental musical palette.’
Speaking about the release, Gwen says “I wrote Loud at a time when I was thinking a lot about freedom, about fighting for what you believe in and living your truth. The song came together pretty quickly as I felt really strongly about those subjects. It all came flooding out. I wanted the video for Loud to be bright, fluid, colourful and celebratory to match. I choreographed some simple, bold movements for the group, along with the block colour clothing, to reflect our unity in diversity. The setting is escapist and surreal.”
A Kickstarter crowd-funded success story, their debut single ‘See My Girl’ was BBC Introducing Track Of The Week – leading to BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury 2016, and further airplay from Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1.
