OC artist Zach Churchill has released his debut single “Bartender.” Churchill wrote the song in rehab after a heroin overdose nearly killed him. The soulful ballad is an ode to the bar manager that saved his life after finding him lying on the floor of the bathroom at the end of the night.
“If he had just gone home that night without checking the bathroom I wouldn’t be here today. I have been sober from all drugs and alcohol ever since that event and it has completely changed my life. He gave me a second chance.” – Zach Churchill
The sobering single is a must-listen this month in honor of National Substance Abuse Prevention Month. “Bartender” provides a heartbreakingly honest look into the mind of someone struggling with addiction. The swelling strings alongside a driving drumline will captivate you as you are engulfed in the palpable emotions emanating from the vocals. Zach Churchill’s new song, “Bartender,” guides you through feelings that will leave you wanting more even after the last lyrics have been sung.
