After returning earlier this year from a nearly decade long hiatus with her 7-track EP Tokyo Love Hotel, Uffie is proving that she is ‘ufficially’ back with another brand new single “No Take Me Backs,” out on all streaming platforms

No Take Me Backs” pays homage to Uffie’s earlier work with her signature pop-rap melodies and tongue-in-cheek lyricism while still maintaining the more self-aware and fun-loving pop sound that emerged on her most recent EP. It’s a classic Uffie track that still fits right in with the sounds of 2019.

Thus far 2019 has been a massive comeback year for Uffie and she’s proved that she still has the sparkle we fell in love with back in the mid-aughts. Her EP was welcomed by press such as PAPER, DAZED, Vice, and Office Magazine, and fans both old and new have fallen head over heels for Uffie’s latest releases. In addition to rolling out her own new music, Uffie also recently co-wrote P!NK’s title track from her new album, “Hurts 2B Human (ft. Khalid).”

Uffie is also taking her music back on the road this year. She recently performed a packed out show at Los Angeles’ Moroccan Lounge.

About Uffie

The French-American artist and producer first burst onto the scene with her international underground hit “Pop The Glock,” released in 2006 on Parisian record label Ed Banger Records. Alongside her label mates Justice and Mr. Oizo, Uffie became a sort of musical sensation thanks to her experimental and nonconformist pop sound. Throughout the mid-to-late aughts, Uffie’s electro-pop-rap sensibilities continued to gain momentum, cumulating in the critically-acclaimed album “Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans” in 2010. By the time the album released, Uffie had everyone from Vogue to The Guardian singing her praises.

After taking a nearly six-year hiatus, Uffie reappeared in 2017 with a feature on Charli XCX’s “Babygirl.” She also reintroduced herself as an artist in her own right, headlining Phoenix’s VIVA PHX! festival and performing at the 10th Anniversary HARD Festival in Los Angeles. In 2018, Uffie emerged with her first solo single in seven years, “Drugs,” as well as a collaboration with EDM sensations Galantis (Spaceship).

In February 2019 Uffie delivered her first EP in almost a decade, Tokyo Love Hotelwhich included singles “Drugs,” “Papercuts” and “Sadmoney,” as well as 4 brand new, previously unheard tracks: “No Regrets,” “Sharpie,” “My Heart” and “Nathaniel.” While still maintaining the fun-loving pop edge, the new EP shows an evolution in Uffie’s songwriting capabilities, making for one of her most authentic projects yet. Uffie is creating the kind of self-aware and honest pop that the industry has been craving.
