Nashville, Tenn. (September 25, 2020) – Singer-songwriter Trevor Martin releases his highly anticipated new single Calling It Friends. “Calling It Friends” is a heartbreak healing song sure to fill out your “in my feelings” playlists.
“The goal is that this hopeful, surprisingly upbeat song about a one-sided love affair will connect with many and become a song that people listen to when they do fall in the inevitable friend zone. I hope the listeners really connect with the story of this song. We have all been in this situation where we start falling in love with someone, when they in fact love us too, but only as a friend. I would love it if this becomes a song that people listen to when they are trying to get over someone who has friend-zoned them,” explains Trevor.
Bowling Green, KY native Trevor Martin is inspired by the country-pop crossover sound and has had a lot of success within the genre. With his last release earning over 20k streams, he returns with his second crossover release “Calling it Friends.” Trevor’s music is influenced by the likes of Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, and Brett Young.
Trevor has performed multiple times for CMT, promoting the CMT Crossroads, The Listening Room, Ole Red, The Valentine, The Stage, and Belcourt Taps in Nashville. Trevor’s passion for the arts doesn’t stop at music – he’s also an actor. The country singer/songwriter has appeared in HBO’s “Vice Principals” and the feature film “90 Minutes in Heaven” where he wrote and performed the theme song “The UnMiracle.”
