The Chi
The Chi is a riveting coming-of-age drama that follows a group of neighbors living on the South Side of Chicago. Although the show deals with the complexities of urban violence, it makes a conscious decision to refrain from perpetuating any racial stereotypes. The plot features characters from all walks of life and the nuances between these contrasting individuals are what gives this show its creative flair.
The show, which is produced by Aaron Kaplan, is currently on its third season on Showtime and it has already been renewed for a fourth. The series has been reviewed by critics as an optimistic companion to The Wire but with its own set of captivating characters. The Chi features an incredible array of actors, including Jason Mitchell, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, and Yolanda Ross, to name a few.
Skins

Skins is a British drama that follows a group of teenagers in Bristol during their last two years of high school. Every two seasons, the cast features a refreshing set of new characters. The old cast members go on to graduate and live their lives after sharing their own unique coming-of-age stories with the audience.
Like Euphoria, Skins touches upon sensitive and controversial subjects in the teenage sphere, such as mental illness, illicit substances, sexuality, and eating disorders. The show boasts raw emotional content and riveting performances from its actors. Skins have even created a legacy of famous actors like Nicholas Hoult, Kaya Scodelario, and Dev Patel.
