Atlanta pop artist Nadia Vaeh has teamed with DNNY for her newest single “One Night”, a song that tells the story of completely opening yourself up to new possibilities with love and sexuality. It uses its compelling lyrics and alluring melody to make for a perfect dance bop, that’s also both relatable and honest. It follows the story of meeting someone new and being open to wherever the situation takes you. Even if the encounter is short-lived, it can still be a great experience for both people. The track features pop singer DNNY, whose verse offers a different perspective of the experience. Nadia and DNNY wrote this anthem in honor of Pride and will be donating a portion of the proceeds to the Human Rights Campaign, an organization that strives to end discrimination against the LGBTQ community.
The song is all about exploring the parts of yourself that a lot of society chooses to ignore. During the writing process, Nadia was able to learn a lot about herself, making for an eye-opening experience about her own sexuality. “I never expected a songwriting session would turn into a day of reveal, especially about my own sexuality. I arrived at the songwriting session with Danny with an open mind about what the song could be about, but after bouncing ideas around our creative focus quickly went in a more sensual direction,” she explains. Nadia and DNNY came together using their own experiences to make this bop that addresses the very serious issue of bisexual erasure. “Many have experienced one-night stands, often with no regard to the other person’s sexuality. The result of this exploration is a daring and honest song about our own journeys with bi-sexuality.”
The honest lyricism and electrifying beat make “One Night” the perfect encouraging track. Vaeh teams up with a different non-profit organization with every single release. This time she teamed up with the Human Rights Campaign and will be donating a portion of the proceeds.
