If you could go open a show for any artist, who would it be?

We’d love to open for twenty-one pilots. We feel like all of their fans would love our music. We also have always been so inspired by their live performances.

What is one message you would give to your fans?

We just want every single person out there that considers themself a fan, even in the smallest way, to know that we are grateful for them, their support, their belief in us, or just their few streams, for coming to a show, buying a sticker, etc. We appreciate it all. We are grateful to be a part of your life.

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

Social media has shifted and changed so much just in the last few years. It seems like the only way to be successful now is by going viral. It seems like everyone must be content creators. Engagement gets lower and lower from current fans because people get on social media to consume, and not necessarily see who they are following.

What does your music say about you?

It shows how honest and vulnerable we are. It also shows how much we like to have fun. Our lyrics lately have been brutally honest with where we are mentally and we feel like transparency is what helps others connect with us.

What are your musical plans for the next 12 months or so?

To blow up on social media, tour the world, and make more amazing music that changes people’s lives.

If you were to write an autobiography, what would the title be?

3 sad boi dreamerz. It’s been the name of our group chat for years now.

Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

Robert De Niro for Montana, Clint Eastwood for Brad, and Donald Glover would be Adrian. Or maybe we’d have Mike Meyers play all three of us. He’s really good at that.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

We’d become the sexiest men alive because then our looks would aid us on this crazy journey of becoming a successful and popular band.

If you could learn any language fluently, what would it be?

Sign language! Then it would be easier to communicate with each other and the crew while on stage or performing. Plus, it’s super cool.

Are you a valuable asset on a Pub Quiz team?

Adrian is. That dude knows so many random facts about everything. Honestly has a pretty good chance at winning “Who Wants To Become a Millionaire?”

Cinder’s Going Nowhere, the EP is out now

The 4-song independent collection – written, recorded, and produced by the Salt Lake City-based trio – features the previously released singles “Gold Pearl” and title track “Going Nowhere” as well as new single “Don’t Wait Up,co-produced by Mike Sapone [Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, The Front Bottoms], which first premiered with Atwood Magazine

Going Nowhere The EP opens with the danceable “Don’t Wait Up,inspired by the band’s unending desire and dream to pursue a full-time career in music and not settle for a plan B. “Nail Salon” focuses on how relationships of any kind can help us feel hopeful. Recent single “Gold Pearl” is an upbeat track that hinges on a slick acoustic bass and head-nodding drums beneath a mesmerizing vocal turn from front man Montana Smith. The band wrote the song as a summary of their feelings about the term “doom scrolling” with social media and the negative effects it has on our mental health.
