It’s no secret that the way we live can have a huge impact on our health, both short and long term. Do you think your lifestyle is affecting your health? Maybe you feel like you’re doing great things for your health, such as drinking lots of water and getting plenty of sleep each night. The truth is, there are still things you could be doing that could potentially negatively affect your health. Take a look and see what they are so you can avoid them:

Stress

Be honest: do you experience the signs and symptoms of stress? Some people don’t think they get stressed. They don’t realize that getting a bad tummy, headaches, and other physical symptoms can all be signs of stress. If you end up suffering from chronic stress, you might find that other illnesses manifest in your body, too. Some people find that they have a weakened immune system. Others suffer from diseases such as cancer (which some people believe is caused by living a stressful, unhealthy lifestyle). You might need to start using topotecan treatment and other medications to control your illness if you let things get out of hand. The best thing you can do is reduce stress now. Cut back on your work, get some exercise, get outside, and do anything else you can to reduce stress.

Poor Eating Habits

If you don’t know much about nutrition, now is the time to read up on it. Poor eating habits could definitely affect your health. You don’t need to eat perfect foods all the time, but you should do your best to eat balanced meals that make you feel good. Everybody needs a mix of protein, fats, and carbs to be healthy and energised. Make sure you’re eating plenty of fruit and vegetables, too!

Drug Use

Drug use definitely doesn’t just refer to illegal drugs, but drugs like caffeine and smoking, too. Too much caffeine can be detrimental, causing stress and stopping us from getting enough sleep. Smoking is bad for obvious reasons. Alcohol consumption may not be bad all of the time, but too much of it can definitely cause problems; liver problems, issues with other organs, depression, and more.

Lack Of Exercise

You don’t need a gym membership to get active, but you do need to make the effort to be active for around 30 minutes a day. Go for a walk, swim, run, or do something else that you enjoy. Try to get your heart rate up and a bit of a sweat on if you can.

Partying

Partying often means late nights, no sleep, excess drinking, and other problems that could cause issues later on down the line. Choose your events wisely, and give yourself a break!

Negative Outlook/Attitude

Be honest; are the majority of your thoughts positive, or negative? If they’re negative, you could actually be weakening your immune system and letting in illness. Having a positive attitude and really trying to look on the brightside can make the world of difference to your quality of life.
