Tell us a bit about your company and why you do what you do.

I am a multi-faceted musician. I play not only Classical music, and am a cellist extraordinaire, but I also write compose and sing while playing the cello, and other instruments! ( guitar and piano). Of course, I play pop and some jazz as well on the cello.  I have my own chamber music group: Sonos Chamber Players, a company made up of some of the finest musicians in Los Angeles. We play all combinations of groups and can even have a small orchestra. We perform in corporate, private events, television and recording sessions.

Do you have a motto or a mantra you apply to work, life, or both?

I do the mantra “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” from the Nicherin Daishonen Buddhist group SGI. And my mottos are: Keep Hoping On, Never Give up. Gratitude is a superpower. I believe our minds are very powerful tools and we need to focus our conscious mental talk to create the peaceful world we are wishing to have.

What do you think is your greatest success in business?

I think my greatest success is having physical products (CDs) of my ephemeral music. The full production in the studio, working with other musicians to have a fully produced song, is like a tapestry of art and sound. !

How do you market your business, and which tactics have been most successful?

I self market and do basic social media, websites, etc., and communicate and network pretty much wherever I go. I am looking into Google Ads. I have a publicist, who got me this interview and I am searching for a manager/booking agent.

Considering the fierce competition in today’s business world, how would you highlight your company’s competitive advantages? What makes it stand out of the crowd?

I don’t believe in competing, really. I think one needs to be who they are, and you are offering the music you create and perform, and only you can do that with your own stamp. I think how ne connects and the depth of their being ness make you stand out. Just be you.

What was the last thing you dressed up as for fancy dress?

Performing with my Electric Quartet for an event at the San Diego Museum of Art.

What’s your most expensive piece of clothing?

An outfit kind of like a suit and jacket but unusual I bought in Paris. Im wearing it in the Small Monster video.

Which are cooler? Dinosaurs or Dragons?

Dragons, they have fire out of their mouth and they can fly!

If you could learn any language fluently what would it be?

Chinese and Russian

What do you think the greatest invention has been?

The Wheel and the Refrigerator
