18 year-old Bailey James is one of the hardest working gals in the music industry.  Bailey is a soulful performer who has been introducing and drawing her swiftly-growing audience to a fresh musical adaptation that is well beyond her years. including blues, rock and country. 

Bailey has performed at the legendary Bluebird Café, the famous The Wildhorse Saloon, the home of the Grand Ole Opry radio station WSM-AM, as well as participating in the mega-popular CMA Fest…  A  multi-genre vocalist, guitarist and songwriter with over 200,000 fans across her social media platforms, In addition to working on her solo career she is also a member of the all female super group The Highway Women. She has charted in the Top 40 on  Music Row’s Country Breakout Chart and her videos have appeared on multiple television networks.

What is the most useless talent you have?

I can click my wrists in unison for like ever. That’s a real party favorite.

Do you sing in the shower? What songs?

Yes. Journey Don’t Stop Believing.

If you were to write an autobiography, what would the title be?

Trainwreck.

If you could be a superhero, what would your superpower be and your superhero name?

Probably would love to be able to get into people’s heads. Not sure about a name yet tho!

What was the last thing you dressed up for?

To take pictures for the gram!

What first got you into music?

I heard Amazing Grace in church when I was younger and I was too young to know, but even then music had a big impact on me.

Who inspired you to make music?

Patsy Cline, Amy Winehouse, Taylor Swift.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

Emotional, raw, gritty, truthful.

What is your creative process like?

I don’t have a certain process. Sometimes I sit down to write a song and other times the song comes to me.

Are you finding the isolation of the pandemic conducive to your writing or is it hindering the experiences you can write about?

For me the pandemic made me so much more creative. I had more time to think and more time to write music I was 100% proud of.

With the pandemic, how have you found a way to get your music and your message out there?

Social media is my savior. Especially Instagram. I do lives there often.
