The summer is here. It’s time to get ready for the beach. Ideally, you should start working in the spring to get a summer body, but it’s still not too late. Focus on nutrition, fitness, and you can still look better and ready for those long hot days so you can enjoy all those outdoor activities.

Begin to move your body today or else it will be too late for this year. But getting ready for the summer isn’t just about exercise and healthy eating. You need to prepare mentally for it as well. There can be stress, brought on by the self-consciousness that you aren’t ready yet. Don’t worry. Chill! But make sure that you don’t delay. Here’s what you can do.

Part 1 – Exercise

First, find a personal trainer or a gym buddy you can exercise with. Work together to design your workout plan. It makes sense to hire a personal trainer even if you have to spend a bit more because the qualified professional will help you build muscle, strengthen and tone your body. A great trainer will also explain how you must perform the exercises and then will monitor your progress. This will also ensure that you won’t get injured. Remember, there is no time for recoveries.

There are many exercises to do that will improve your health and get you ready for the summer. For example, you can do kettlebell squats, burpees, flutter kicks, bicycle crunches, moving plank, strength training, bicep curls, and overhead press. These training sessions will help you melt the fat and tone the muscles.

Make sure to mix it up between upper body and lower body exercises. Mix between high-intensity workouts and strength training. You need to also focus on warming up and cooling down.

Record the progress you are making –

  • Weigh yourself each week, on the same day, same time
  • Keep a tab on your body fat percentage
  • Measure your arms, legs, waist, etc. every week
  • Keep a dress that doesn’t fit you. Try it every week and see whether you can get into the outfit.

Part 2 – How to look better for the summer

Remove unwanted hair from your body so you can get into that bikini again. Laser hair removal is a fast, safe, and pain free process. It offers many advantages. For example, it helps you avoid ingrown hairs, there are no painful side effects or scars, and you will also be able to shave between the sessions. Besides, if the laser hair removal is done by an expert, then your skin will actually be softer than before. The result can also be permanent.

This is what makes laser hair removal one of the best methods of removing unwanted hair from the body. You can get rid of the hair from both your face and the body.

However, do make sure that the unwanted hair removal laser treatment you get is from a trained specialist. There could be scars or burns on your skin if the service is not from an expert.

Also, remember, there are some prescription drugs you must avoid after the treatment.

Part 3 – Food, Nutrition

You must also focus on good eating and nutrition to get a summer body. Many people make the mistake of starving themselves to get back into shape. Those meal replacement shakes will also not work.

What you need is proper, healthy, balanced eating. You must also eat at the right time and in the correct proportions.

Getting ready for summer body is good. But you will end up becoming weak if you starve yourself. You won’t be able to enjoy all those summertime outdoor activities. Also, you may shed a few pounds with a fad diet, but you can be sure that the weight will come back. These eating schedules are not sustainable over the long term.

If you want to ready for the beach, then remember, 80% of the progress you will make, will depend on the foods you eat, and the remaining 20% will come from exercise. That’s how important your diet is.

  • Eat smaller portions in each meal, but more frequently
  • When prepping a meal, always keep a cup with you so you can measure the portions
  • Calculate the calories you are eating every day
  • Read the nutrition labels if you are buying a package meal
  • You can eat out on some days. But avoid eating larger meals when you do. Restrict your meat intake.
  • Also, restrict your alcohol intake.

Vegetables – Fresh, seasonal vegetables are always good. You will get all the nutrition you need from them.

Here are some great vegetables you must eat –

  • Broccoli
  • Carrots
  • Spinach
  • Green peas
  • Sprouts
  • Edamame beans
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Kale
  • Asparagus

Fruits – Also, ensure that you are eating enough fresh fruits. They contain essential minerals and vitamins that will boost your metabolism. Fruits will also give you fiber, which will improve your digestion, prevent bloating, and help you lose weight.

You can eat fruits in so many ways. You can also eat fruits as a healthy snack instead of those fries, granola bars, or sweet-rich yogurts.

Healthy Fats – Get your healthy fats from nuts. Good legumes to have include lentils, chickpeas, beans, and peas. They are also packed with protein. Avocados have 77% fat content, but it’s from a natural source. They will help you burn saturated fats.

You can also have one slice of cheese. It will offer the same nutrition as a glass of milk. Use only extra virgin olive oil for cooking. Rich in antioxidants, it will lower blood pressure. Coconut oil is also good. It boosts metabolism. Dark chocolate will give you copper, manganese, magnesium, iron, and fiber. You can have a piece daily.

Stay Hydrated – Finally, do keep yourself hydrated. Drink 8-10 glasses of water every day instead of those sugary drinks. You will be able to control your calorie intake. Green tea is very good for health. It offers a lot of antioxidants and aids in weight loss. It will also detox your body. You can drink 3 to 5 cups of green tea daily.

Start getting ready for the beach today. Take a step at a time. Eat healthy foods, exercise regularly, stay hydrated, and get adequate sleep so that your body gets the rest it needs. Stay away from those fad diets. You will be healthier, and you will have an amazing summer body for sure.
