Heart & soul. Passion & grit. Freedom of expression & the triumph of the human spirit. Black Suit Devil represents all of these things.

His brand new single, “Passage” is a raw and emotional piece about the struggles of mental health and addiction. With lyrical depth and vocal grit, it’s a song that will stay with listeners.

Passage is a song about the struggles of depression, mental health issues, and addiction,” says the artist behind Black Suit Devil, Andy Du Rego. “A song bringing awareness to the increasing rate of suicide in our communities that does not get talked about often. I wanted to let people know that you are not alone in this fight. That many people from all walks of life (myself included) experience mental health issues and struggle with these on a daily basis. I wanted to send a message to look after each other and really communicate with one another to see how the people in your circles are doing.”

With a tongue-in-cheek name meant to pique the curiosity and a tenacious DIY approach, Black Suit Devil has been spreading inspiration and awareness through music since 2015. A solo project led by Singer/Songwriter Andy Du Rego of Toronto, Ontario whose style has been likened to that of Ray LaMontagne, Tom Waits, and Chris Cornell.

June 28th, 2024 will mark the release of Black Suit Devil’s Third full length album, The Eternal Sleep.

Expanding into new musical territory the new album is B.S.D.’s finest work yet.
