For the latest installment in Crywolf’s OBLIVIØN [Reimagined] series, Crywolf has tapped melodic bass production duo Last Heroes. On the stunning new remix of “ATHETOSIS,” Crywolf’s sinister vocals fuse with Last Heroes’ pulsing synths and commanding drums in order to create an infectious rework.

Garrett Lucero and Brian Helander, the Colorado-based duo behind Last Heroes, couple their skillful production and knack for euphonious sound design to create something moving and cinematic. Lucero and Helander joined forces when they were only 16 and 17 years old with the goal of bringing a resurgence to melodic dubstep. Since their inception in 2016, Last Heroes have played shows nationwide and recently released a single via Seven Lions’ ‘Ophelia’ label. With this new reimagination of Crywolf’s “ATHETOSIS,” Last Heroes proves that melodic bass is here to stay.

In addition to the OBLIVIØN [Reimagined] series, Crywolf also recently announced a fan-fueled remix competition for “ULTRAVIOLENT” in collaboration with SKIO Music. The winner will receive an official release on Crywolf’s label Okami Records, as well as a plug-in bundle from Slate Digital, a Crywolf merch pack, and more. About Crywolf
Crywolf, otherwise known as Justin Taylor Phillips, is a producer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, CA. Constantly challenging the expectation that an artist must fit into one singular genre, he ruthlessly colors outside of the lines, carving his own musical path, leading to a unique and often indefinable sound. A full apocalyptic orchestra one moment, a lullaby whispered in the listener’s ear the next; Crywolf’s haunting vocals, abstract lyricism, atmospheric beats, and cinematic instrumentals could be the soundtrack to a lucid dream.

After releasing his 16-track album widow [OBLIVION pt. 1], Crywolf relocated to Bali to focus on creating part 2 of the widow album, slated for release next year.
