Country singer/songwriter Carrie Cunningham is back with her sixth single from her 2021 Showgirl Series!
With fun and flirty lyrics like you’re a tall drink of something I could get in trouble with, mix you with a little rum, mmm, so good on my lips, “Just A Bar Thing” (co-written with Steve Smentek and Ceri Earle) is the perfect, light-hearted song for summer.
“Song number six off my Showgirl Series came from a funny incident involving my father,” Carrie explains. “I woke up one morning this past August with a late night missed call and a message from my dad. He lives alone in Nebraska and I immediately had a sense of panic. I quickly listened, only to hear some random guy telling me that he was at the bar with my dad in my hometown, he was good looking, I was beautiful, and we would make a cute couple! Nonetheless, I called my dad to chew him out and he laughed, while telling me it was just a bar thing! “
Continuing with the release of one single every month, Carrie is also pressing limited editions of both CDs and vinyl records of the whole album – which can only be purchased through her website! The full album will not be available for digital release until the end of the year. For more information about the Showgirl Series or to place an order, please visit www.carrielive.com.
