Multi-platinum, GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen has premiered the video for her latest track, “Boy Problems,”
The video, which features cameos from Barbie Ferreira, Diana Veras and Tavi Gevinson, was shot in NYC and directed by artist Petra Collins. “Boy Problems” is featured on Jepsen’s critically acclaimed current album E·MO·TION, which was released in August via Schoolboy Records/Interscope and has sold over 750,000 album-equivalent units worldwide.
Says Jepsen, “Out of the blue, Petra reached out to ask if she could make a video for her favorite track of the album-Boy Problems. What she didn’t know is that I had been following her online via Instagram and other outlets for a while and had become a HUGE fan of her photographs and artwork. I think she has a very gifted eye for a refreshing look at youth and beauty and the way she plays with color always stands out to me. So the answer was an immediate YES! We met that first day in New York and were giddy with creating something new together and I am so pleased for how the dark and glittery scenes we imagined turned out. I hope you enjoy it!”
E·MO·TION was named one of the best albums of 2015 by Rolling Stone, TIME, SPIN, NPR, Vulture, COMPLEX, Entertainment Weekly, Stereogum, Cosmopolitan, Idolator and many more. Three singles have been released, “I Really Like You” (which became a global Top 40 hit, while its video is Vevo Certified with over 100 million views), “Your Type,” and “Run Away With Me,” which has inspired a series of viral memes on Vine and Twitter with users dubbing the song over movie scenes, TV clips, and other artists’ performances using the hashtag #RunAwayWithMeme

This summer, Jepsen will perform at the Shadow of the City festival in Seaside Heights, NJ, on June 18th, and headline the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago on July 15th.
Jepsen also earned praise for her performance as iconic Pink Lady “Frenchy” in FOX’s highly rated GREASE: LIVE, with Variety naming her “delightful…one of the broadcast’s highlights.” Jepsen also sings the theme song to the Netflix sitcom Fuller House, which debuted on February 26th.
