November 14, pop singer-songwriter Betty Who begin the newest chapter of her career with the release of her new single “Between You & Me” – available everywhere NOW via AWAL Recordings. The track, produced by Peter Thomas, marks the lead single from her forthcoming third studio record Betty, which will be released February 15, 2019.
“I wanted ‘Between You & Me’ to come first because it felt so reminiscent of my early singer-songwriter days. When I listen to it, I imagine that 15-year-old me would love this song,” Betty says of her decision to make this song the debut single. “Especially since it’s about not being able to put into words how you feel when you’re around the person you’re singing to. It’s not a confession of love, it’s a voice in your head narrating your time with them.”
Betty marks a huge milestone in the singer’s career, as it will be the first independent album she releases. The record will contain three tracks from Betty Pt. 1 – “Ignore Me,” “Just Thought You Should Know” and “Taste” – which was released this June. This year, Betty vocals were also featured on the remake of Netflix’s Queer Eye “All Things” second season opener, complete with a musical video extravaganza featuring the Fab Five – watch here. She also made a surprise appearance on the hit ABC show The Bachelorette in July.
Ahead of Betty’s highly anticipated release next year, Betty will fulfill a personal teenage dream as a supporting act on Panic! at the Disco’s 25+ city North American Pray For The Wicked Tour beginning January 10 in Buffalo, NY through February 14 in Anaheim, CA. Immediately following, Betty will join Kesha on her Kesha Cruise: Kesha’s Weird & Wonderful Rainbow Ride from February 17-21 in the Bahamas.
