Ben Hemming, at the forefront of the U.K. Rock scene, is set to release the new single ‘Baptise Me’ on January 19th. This will be the second single from a new EP ‘Resurrection’ set for release in the Summer.
An anthem to disillusioned masculinity, ‘Baptise Me’ is a song full of angst that deals with gender issues facing modern men living in a world full of contradictions and hypocrisy, using the confines of Christianity as it’s target.
“Baptise Me’ is a song that I wrote really quickly, in a few hours really, it just sort of poured out of me. It uses the topic of religion as it’s base, but it speaks in a wider form than just that. It’s rooted in a lot of issues I had growing up and coming to terms with what it is to be a man.”
Recorded at Masterlink Productions, a studio located in rural Send just outside of Woking, with regular collaborator and producer James Welsh at the controls, it was a return to what is fast becoming a creative hub for Ben Hemming.
“I feel I’ve found a fantastic working environment which on one had enables me to have the confidence to push what I do, as well as providing security and familiarity in the working process.’’
‘Baptise Me’ is a single that furmly established Ben Hemming in the Alt Rock genre gives a tantalising taste on what is to come from his forth coming EP.

Song Lyrics:
Baptise me in a world of glory,
teach me how to be a man.
Show me a vision of holy,
build me up just to knock me down.
Words can be broken,
lies will be spoken.
Words can be broken,
lies will be spoken.
Tell me my north is south,
that two wrongs make a right.
Heaven’s path is a winding one,
but belief will overcome doubt.
Words can be broken,
lies will be spoken.
Words can be broken,
lies will be spoken.
Words can be broken,
lies will be spoken.
Words can be broken,
lies will be spoken.
