Throughout 2021, Adria Kain introduced her album project with two sublimely soulful and contemporary R&B singles, ‘Classic’ and ‘Ocean (Reprise)’.

First release ‘Classic’ was a sincere celebration of the strength and perseverance of black women, however they may present themselves to the world. This was also the introduction of Kain’s self-recognition as a masc-presenting, queer woman and her journey towards confidence. Following that, we had ‘Ocean (Reprise)’, a revised version of one of Adria Kain’s most successful songs to date and the swirling alt-R&B result was a manifestation of her growth as an artist and as a person.

“When Flowers Bloom tells the story of falling in love after overcoming the loss of oneself through previous experiences in love. It depicts the struggle of a young, masculine presenting woman, who after embarking on a journey of self discovery, attempts to heal her wounds that developed through romantic relationships and the false perceptions that were taught throughout her upbringing. Accountability & vulnerability are the key emotions in this story.”

Topping international music lists of Artists You Need To Know, Adria Kain has been touted by The Fader, Complex, HYPEBAE and more, and opened for the likes of Grammy award-winning and platinum-selling recording artists such as ?uestlove, BJ The Chicago Kid, Miguel & Ari Lennox, while her vocals have been sprinkled throughout various projects like PARTYNEXTDOOR and Allan Rayman.
