The audience has long been waiting for it, the final episode of the third season of the famous dramatic series. adaptation of Archie Comics Riverdale was finally brought screens on may 15th and 16th on The CW and Netflix Channel, being a huge success. Hitherto the series caught the audience’s mind but the finale offers us a various dimension of Riverdale’s twists and turns, really blowing us away by the turning point created by this brilliant end.
Indeed, this final episode really reached a success among viewers and the making-off of the plot was rigorously made. At the end of season 3 episode, 57 of Riverdale was expected to elucidate all mysteries triggered in previous episodes of the third and even the second season. While the public was voracity waiting for these discoveries, the final plot eventually turned the audience upside down, generating even more excitement upon watching the show.
It is interesting to point out that the way characters show their deepest self through their innermost torments is very sensitive. All along with the episode, the famous quartet Jughead(Cole Sprouse), Betty(Lili Reinhart), Veronica(Camila Mendes) and Archie(KJ Apa) reveal a deep loyalty to each other and the unity of the four friends is strongest than ever in this final episode, emphasizing the feeling of the finale. Other characters such as Sheryl Blossom and Alice Cooper will also show demonstrate a new version of themselves, that the public was waiting for.
The setting is also characterizing the mood of the plot which mostly takes place in the woods. The four characters will have, as the title states, to « survive » the night, and another interesting point is that the progression is made through these events, happening in the woods. Thus the public understands many different things inside and outside the woods as the plot progresses. The music and emotions are strengthened by events, putting us closer to the characters and their feelings.
Another thing the cast of episode 57 of Riverdale season 3 succeeded in, is the way the public was toppled by the striking reversals and unexpected reveals through the progression of the episode. Many questions raised the minds of viewers over numerous concerns of season 2 and 3 that the finale eventually elucidated. This creates even more tonacity to the outcome. Several characters such as Chic(Hart Denton), Hal Cooper(Lochlyn Munro) a.k.a the Black Hood, and Penelope Blossom(Nathalie Boltt) overthrew the course of events and the series takes another turn. Still, they are not the only striking thing of the final, but the show came to end the episode on other issues, reassuring the audience about the continuity of Riverdale. As the showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said “The Riverdale universe is a dark universe; it’s a universe where bad things happen, and no one is truly safe there,” which let’s think that there will be many other mysteries in Riverdale the quarted will have to figure out.
All things considered, the finale offers a variety of understandings that the audience was waiting for in season 2 and 3, on that point, the cast has perfectly assembled the making so that the public is fulfilled. The atmosphere and suspense have been finally aligned which engenders real excitement upon watching the show and the final episode may be the best end the season could ever have. Yet the end leaves the viewers on new issues season 4 will have to cope with, and the audience might be hurried to watch season 4 over October 2019, but all in all, the show is quite a good success.
