Will dragged himself from sleep, sensing that today was different—special. A warm body pressed along his length, the oddness of it pulling him into full consciousness.
Jack was still in bed with him—unusual on weekends but unheard of during the week. Not that Will would complain. He wriggled closer to the wall of heat. Jack rolled to his stomach, leaving Will to blanket his body, one leg thrown over Jack’s, his thick cock pressing along his arse cheek. If he was to somehow become stuck like this forever, Will wouldn’t give a damn.
“Morning, baby,” Jack mumbled with his face buried in his nest of pillows.
“I almost forgot Pete gave you the day off.”
Jack’s boss had decided he needed a personal day so he could get some Christmas shopping done. Will suspected Pete and the rest of Jack’s colleagues more likely needed a break from him after the scare last week with Kate. Jack’s manner could sometimes be…prickly. Whatever the reason for the day off, Jack was going shopping today, and he’d told Will last night that he was banned from accompanying him, as the gift would be for him.
Despite still being wary whenever he left the house, Will would have loved to watch Jack attempt to navigate hordes of Christmas shoppers.
Jack grumbled a reply Will couldn’t quite catch, doubtless some sort of complaint about braving the general public alone today. Not even Kate had volunteered to join him, preferring to spend the day wrapping up the last of her work before she officially went on leave.
“You want what?” Will tried to clarify.
Jack turned his head from the pillows and said, “I want to stay here, like this, with you forever.”
Will’s heart fluttered pathetically in his chest. He wasn’t even surprised Jack shared his thought from moments ago. It happened a lot, particularly where their relationship was concerned.
“Mm, you could…at least today anyway,” Will cajoled, hoping he could convince his lover to remain exactly where he was.
“Don’t tempt me, baby. You know I have to go and buy you something. Pete’ll shoot me in the leg if I go in tomorrow and I still haven’t bought you anything.”
“Maybe you could tell him you decided to give me yourself for Christmas or one of those voucher books. You know, like redeem this ticket for a blow job.”
His lover let out a full bloom of laughter. It was a sound that, though still heard infrequently, was nonetheless increasing in regularity. Will took some pride in often being the cause of bringing his stoic, life-hardened detective to fits of giggles.
“You don’t need a voucher, baby. If you want a blow job, all you need to do is ask.” Jack gave him one of his incredibly sexy winks that told him a blow job about now was definitely something he’d be interested in.
