We love these because unlike skyscraper stilettos you can actually walk in them! As well as feeling confident enough to stop worrying about being another victim of the killer heel. Terrifyingly embarrassing tumbles and wobbly baby deer walks are a thing of the past as you stride down the street in a shoe that doesn’t just support your feet but will allow you to run for a bus without risking a broken ankle. Higher than a kitten heel by a whisker, micro heels are also a fantastic alternative for those events where flats just won’t quite cut it!

Previous seasons have seen heavy duty leather, cord and chunky sliders that had a definite masculine feel to them. While we’re certainly not saying goodbye to structured minimalism just yet, the flip flop has become much more feminine with florals, lace and sequins all competing for our attention. Summer boots? Oh yes, but bear in mind sock boots are not for the faint-hearted, and thigh-high footwear can get a little restrictive, not to mention sweaty in summer. Having said that, you can wear an ankle height version instead, and they’ll look super cute with summer dresses, shorts and skirts as well giving you a little extra oomph while striding down the pavement on the hunt for that perfect Fourth Of July BBQ outfit!
