Amanda Daviner has a new song out now called “Scorpio”, taken from her latest album “Catharsis.”

“Scorpio” was recorded at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 with producer Ben Rice. There is a magic and warmth in this song, and Daviner was able to take the video to a more mysterious place than explored in previous songs, which matches the song’s intensity.

It has all of the elements of a well crafted pop-rock song, with strong vocals, a rich production and songwriting craftsmanship:

I am so beyond grateful and excited to share this video and song! Scorpio is a song about primal desires and how they will ultimately lead to your downfall. It is a story of passion, lust, vulnerability and, ultimately, heartache. The song explores the pain and loneliness felt from suffering a betrayal from someone you thought you knew.”

Written by Daviner and produced by Ben Rice, also featured on this track is Peter Kronreif on the drums and Matthew La Fountain on bass.

Amanda is a Californian singer-songwriter, currently based in New York City. Since relocating to Brooklyn in 2015, Amanda has really made a mark on the city’s thriving music scene and has co-headlines at the Brooklyn Music Festival. Her single “Déjà Vu” reached the #15 ranking on ReverbNation. Amanda was named “a future megastar” on Larry Flick’s Sirius XM radio show.

In this new single, Amanda emerges as a rare artist who skilfully brings together threads from past musical eras into a contemporary feel. Influences include Bowie, Prince, and Harry Nilsson and many have likened her vocals to that of Fiona Apple. By embracing the style of these legends while forging her own path, Amanda stands out as an emerging artist with an exciting future.
