Evanthia is a talented singer and actor born and raised in St. Louis, MO. From a young age, she knew that music was her passion and found inspiration in watching Miley Cyrus and Demi LaVato on the Disney channel. Her love for the spotlight led her to catch the eye of a local talent management company, which helped her book her first job in a McDonalds commercial.

• How would you describe the music that you typically create?

My music is country with a vibe. I have always loved all genres but country has been my heart. I love the raw sounds like that of Patsy Cline to Kacey Musgraves. My music tends to be like Kacey or T. Swift. I can only hope that my music resonates globally.

• What do you enjoy most about being an artist?

My favorite thing would probably be the performance. I love being able to be in person with my listeners and connect that way. Although I still love every aspect of writing, recording and production.

• What draws you to your preferred genre?

Realness. I feel like for me I gravitate to the realness that country offers. I feel like my kind of storytelling is made for it. For me, country can have little pieces of different genres and still sound magical.

• Was anyone else involved in writing, recording, or producing the songs?

Yes, my co-writers for The Deep End are Wyatt Durette and Tyler Filmore. And my producer was Mark Siegel.

• Would you have any advice for would-be artists or songwriters wanting to follow you?

My best advice is to always keep an open mind for learning. And with that, you will continue to grow. I learn something new daily and I am so thankful to the teachers that have given me so much already in my journey.

• You are a new addition to a crayon box. What color would you be and why?

This is fun. I would want to be iridescent. I feel like I am more than one color as a person, so a multi color would fit me perfectly.

• Do you have a cherished childhood teddy bear or other stuffed animal sitting on your bed at home?

I don’t have a teddy bear but I do have blankets. I have two blankets that I came home from the hospital with and they are in a zippered pillowcase to protect them. I love my nanas.

• Which fictional character do you wish was real?

Can I say Ariel from The Little Mermaid? I literally thought as a kid she was the coolest character. I had dolls and swimsuits and basically anything mermaid.

•Would you rather be the one in a movie who gets the hero/heroine or the baddie with all the good lines?

Probably the baddie. For me, I love the transformation that comes with being a baddie in movies. I love researching characters in movies and comparing them to the actor and watching the process.

• As a kid were you ever frightened of a monster under the bed or in the cupboard?

I was not frightened of a monster but I hated the dark. And let’s be honest here, I still don’t like complete darkness.
