How would you describe the music that you typically create?
I create music that is designed to heal the heart and speak to the soul. I love to mix instrumentation and sounds as well as layer with vocal harmonies. My music is message heavy but always brings a fresh vibe, unique song arrangement, and soul stirring energy.
What is your creative process like?
I demo all my songs. I love to play with melodies and lyrics until I find something that feels good. I am a storyteller, so I always want to tell a story and paint a picture with my music. I spend time with the songs and change them up until it feels complete.
Where was your current project recorded?
I recorded my last EP “Connections” and my new single “Profit A Man” in my hometown of Chicago at Miller Street Studios.

Was anyone else involved in writing, recording, or producing the songs?
I work with two main producers out of Chicago, Anthony Smith and Erik “MrDoublebeats” Ficklin and one main engineer, Joseph Delfino out of Miller Street Studios. I write and arrange, and they help with production. Sometimes it’s based on their initial ideas and sometimes I send them demos or song concepts and they build around from that point. We have a great synergy and have developed a creative process that allows each of us to be free in our artistry working together to create a unique sound.
If you could pass on a nugget of wisdom to the next musical generation, what would it be?
Stay true to your artistry. Don’t create with other people’s opinion in mind. Create from your heart. Don’t second guess yourself. Let the music flow freely. The music should feel good to your soul and not be made to satisfy short lived trends.
You are a new addition to a crayon box. What colour would you be and why?
I would be pink. It is my favorite color. Pink is soft and girly, yet bold and beautiful.
Do you have a cherished childhood teddy bear or other stuffed animal sitting on your bed at home?
I had my tonsils removed when I was 7 years old. When I woke up from surgery, my grandparents gave me a pink teddy bear that had a pink bow around its neck. I named it Bowy Bear! It now belongs to my daughter and sits on her bed.
If you could ask your future self-one question, what would it be?
I would ask my future self if I’m still strong and walking boldly in my purpose? I hope that the answer is yes and that my future self is living a bountiful life touring the world healing others through music.
What was the last TV series you watched on TV?
I recently finished Snow Fall. It was an epic show, and the series finale was a great tribute to the legendary creative John Singleton.
If you could learn any language fluently, what would it be?
I would learn French. I took a course in college but not a lot of it stuck. I think it’s such a beautiful language and Paris in one of my dream destinations!
