A thought-provoking indie-rock track that makes listeners stop and think about the acknowledgment of aliens, Wild Giants’ newly released single asks everybody, “Why Aren’t We Freaking Out?”
This new indie-rock track takes you on a journey of a different kind. Sometime during the pandemic, The Pentagon just casually informed the nation that aliens do indeed exist. Conspiracy theorists everywhere had their “I knew it!” moment and then… nothing. “The day the Pentagon opened the lid on UFOs by publicly confirming their existence and alien origins, I assumed the world as we knew it would forever be changed. Overnight, us ‘tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorists’ were proven right,” explains lead singer Austin Walashek. “The revelation was seemingly swept under the rug by the general public, but I couldn’t keep my mind off of it. I kept asking myself, ‘Why aren’t we freaking out?'” And so, Wild Giants’ latest single was born.
Based in Arizona, Wild Giants is a 3 piece rock group featuring Austin on vocals, guitar, Lyman Lipke on bass, and Cameron Agan on drums. For “Why Aren’t We Freaking Out?,” Walashek drew his own interest in Sci-fi and conspiracy events to the creation of the song. With Walashek’s strong vocals, Lipke’s weighty bass, Corey Batorski’s solid drums, and guest musician Todd Flaming’s heavy guitar, all the elements in this single work together perfectly to not just have you rocking out, but also make your mind drift in a different place.
