As travelling from the eastern part of France to the western, we get to observe multiple differences in both the urban and natural landscape, something completely reasonable regarding the fact that one part is coastal, while the other is nestled in the Alpine slopes, bordering with Switzerland and Italy.

Albertville

The most significant from a cultural aspect city that we will visit is Albertville, as it has hosted the 1992 Winter Olympics, which memories revive through the Olympic Museum. As a winter sport enthusiast, it’s impossible to skip its visit. The town in general, emits a medieval vibe, profound due to the Conflans village, the Medieval Bridge and Fortified House. Breathe the fresh air by strolling around the lush greenery of Jardins de l’État.

Moutiers

Almost 30 km away, we meet another charming city. This time, a walking tour to observe the bridge Pont de la Lémenc and the Tour Sarrazine, is on top of the activities and attractions list. If interested in having a closer look in the locals’ way of living through the centuries and regions folks and traditions, you should visit the Moutiers Museum. Dining in a traditional eatery to savour Savoyard specialities, as tartiflette, raclette, or diots, is also a must.

Tignes, Ski Resort

After admiring the dreamscape formed by the Alps, and having creating a deep desire to explore it in more extent, it’s finally time to indulge in the unique experiences it can provide us. Not very far from our last stop, one of the most recognized ski resorts in Europe, is located. Beginners ensure a safe space for their babe-ski-steps, brave ones test their limits in black or off-piste runs, while other snow outdoor activities are offered, including snowshoeing, ice skating, paragliding. Based on your budget, you can choose to stay close either close to the nightlife scene, or pursue some privacy in the area of Le Lac, for which transportation by Nuco Travel will be needed.

Val-d’Isère

Together with Tignes, they form the Espace Killy ski area. As perceived, the two neighbour resorts, are interconnected, and in fact, the cable car providing access between them two (Téléphérique de l’Aiguille Percée) is one of the most famous and notable connections.
