NYC electro-pop artist Stalking Gia has unveiled her newest single, “Young Diana,” which streamed September 15 on hillydilly.com.
The track was written by Gia, Deion Gil, Daniel Dalexis, and co-written / produced by the Brooklyn-based production duo, Noise Club, who are frequent Stalking Gia collaborators. The duo also produced Stalking Gia’s last hit, “Second Nature.”
“Young Diana’ is a beckoning, sassy back-and-forth with Deion Gill, which adds an interesting, new element to Stalking Gia’s artistry. The production is smashing as well, as retro organ chords trade places with hi-hats for an instantly appealing sound.” – Chad Hillard; hillydilly
“Young Diana’ was created thanks to a Warner Chappell session. They paired Deion and I together, we met the same day we wrote the song. Originally it started out as a writing session for him, but it quickly turned into a duet,” Gia told hillydilly. “We were immediately inspired by the music that was being created in the room – the melodies came instantly off of the main guitar riff. We then got to talking about MJ’s Dirty Diana, which led to us talking about it allegedly being about Diana Ross, which led to the phrase ‘I could do you dirty like a Young Diana.’ [This track] is a little Gia, and a little Deion.”
