Los Angeles-based indie pop group Smallpools released a new single,”Million Bucks,” yesterday via Kobalt Music.
The single is the first off their forthcoming EP, THE SCIENCE OF LETTING GO, due out on August 4th, 2017. You can pre-order the EP now on all digital retailers and pre-save on Spotify.
THE SCIENCE OF LETTING GO will be the Smallpools’ first official release since their debut album LOVETAP! in early 2015. In late 2016, the band released an 88 second teaser track & music video titled “Run With The Bulls,” which made it’s debut on Billboard.com.
The band spent the last year and a half exploring different inspirations, sounds and producers, pulling from new life experiences to infuse into their best work to date. Additionally, Smallpools co-wrote the song “Break Up Every Night,” on The Chainsmokers‘ debut album Memories.. Do Not Open.
“‘Million Bucks’ takes all the hookiness of an inescapable summer hit like the ones peddled by the Chainsmokers, but cuts out the drop for layers of woah-ohs, walls of synth and guitar riffs run through effect pedals until they practically sparkle.” –UPROXX
