Nashville, Tenn. (September 9th, 2020) – Singer-songwriter Lauren Teel released the official music video for Vows exclusively premiered by Music Crowns.
Born in Texas, singer-songwriter Lauren Teel isn’t afraid of telling her unique story through her music. With her official music video release for Vows, the rising musician tells the story of her parent’s divorce.
“I wrote this song when I was 14 years old, and the feelings I felt then sometimes find their way back to me now at 20,” explains Teel. “My parents went through an extremely messy divorce, to say the least, and I took different pieces from both of their perspectives to write what I think is the ballad of the death of a marriage. This song was a way for me to heal, and to find closure in what once was.”
Lauren found deep comfort in songwriting after her parents’ divorce, and the song’s touching lyrics and true soulfulness show how much writing songs like “Vows” meant to her during these difficult times.
Lauren and her team are also finishing the recording of her debut EP, which is set to release this fall.
