Drawing inspiration from a trip to the Atlas mountains – Morocco – earlier this year, Pablo Nouvelle delivers ‘Zaiouat Ahansal’ from his forthcoming ‘Piano Pieces’ collection.

Speaking on the release, Nouvelle says “The simplicity of composing pieces using only the piano has something honest to it. I wanted to draw a drastic contrast to this short-living world, drowning in hate and plastic. My journey to Zaouiat Ahansal – a hidden village in a remote valley in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and only accessible by foot or mule – inspired the idea of this plain tranquility.”
With ‘Piano Pieces’ penned for the 25th January 2019, the new year will also see the release of Pablo’s award-winning short animation – ‘In A Nutshell’ – as Vimeo’s staff pick on 2nd January.
