Today, Callout, a female-fronted four piece from Watchung, New Jersey, alternative rock band Callout presents the official music video for new, obscure-sounding single “Mad Love”.

Narrating a toxic relationship, the video directed by SquareUp Studios brings the difficulty of escaping domestic violence to light. The new single “Mad Love” features off-beat piano and interesting rhythms that stands much different than the band’s previous releases. Instead of following a basic rhyme pattern, Callout branches off into an artistic, less-structured flow, displaying the band’s wide capabilities. Premiering yesterday on CHARM Music Magazine, the “Mad Love” video includes blue-washed scenes of the band performing with a woman brave enough to leave her negative and abusive relationship.

As a group of passionate, young individuals, this is not the first time Callout has personally involved themselves in a cause greater than themselves. Presenting support for those suffering in toxic relationships, Callout soars far past the basic chords of a typical beginning band with Becky Khusidman leading the band on vocals and guitar, backed by lead guitarist Jake Feldman, bassist Anthony Sabino and drummer Brian Carter, with “Mad Love” featuring Moriah Lambier on keyboard and backing vocals.

Statement from Callout on domestic violence

“You can’t always view the one you love through a rose-tinted lens. Mad Love will take you through a truly toxic relationship that any person can fall victim to no matter race, gender, and class, and to those going through something like this…you are not alone, we’re fighting with you, we are here with you, and you are strong enough to get out of it.”

Inspired by a full spectrum of rock from Nirvana to Halestorm, Callout delivers a positive energy throughout their live set and fan interactions by sharing fan-made artwork, photos and developing engagements across social media platforms by providing lead guitar “play-throughs”. Diligently working towards a perfect live set, the entertaining four piece foster a community of growth and persistence. Callout has performed alongside Hollywood Undead, Butcher Babies, Palaye Royale, Four Year Strong, September Mourning and made an appearance at 2017’s Musikfest in Allentown, PA. Using every ounce of energy while touring, Callout immerses themselves in each city’s culture by visiting instrument production factories and appearing on local college radio stations, which displays the band’s strong desire to become a staple in the rock music scene. Currently on tour throughout the east coast, Callout transports each crowd into a chilling scene with newest single “Nevermore”, which the band plans to release a music video for in the coming weeks.

Beyond their music-based adventures, within Callout lies four hearts of gold. After feeling deeply hurt and broken by the Mandalay Bay tragedy, Callout went to work. Running a 24-hour campaign, Callout raised over one thousand dollars with one hundred percent of proceeds donated to the National Compassion Fund to assist medical needs of the victims of the heartbreaking tragedy that rocked the music industry and the world. Callout feels no hesitation using their following for good and jumps at every opportunity to perform throughout their own community. Recognized many times for their high-energy live performance, Callout has received praise from fellow musicians, venue owners and more.
