How would you describe the music that you typically create?
Traditional country with modern elements; I grew up and spent my entire life on the farm riding horses living a country lifestyle and I love to bring the stories and feelings from the farm life into my music inspired by the traditional country music I grew up listening to. Fiddle, steel guitar and a live full band sound is what I love to bring into my songs.
What is the best advice you have been given?
Always stay true to the artist (and person) that you are and inspire to be. People will see through phoniness, so it’s best to be who you truly are and do your own thing.
What do you enjoy most about being an artist?
I love getting to perform live on stage. There’s no feeling like playing a show and seeing people in the audience let go for the night and have a good time.
What is your current music project about?
This next project I have coming out this fall has a feel good theme. I wanted to release a body of music that was fun, energetic and had a good positive message. I wanted to send a message for people to take a moment to realize the good in their life rather than always focusing on the negative. I brought a lot of 90s country elements into the recordings of these songs, and it brought the vision I had in mind for this project.
When you create music, what is your personal purpose or goal?
At the end of the day, I want to create music that I am proud of; songs that tell stories that mean something to me and the people around me. I find when I am able to truly relate to my music, my listeners and fans can feel that, which makes them able to feel the messages I am trying to get across.
If you had to describe yourself as a flavor, what would it be?
Sweet with a little bit of an after kick
If you could learn any language fluently, what would it be?
Spanish!
What’s your least favorite personality trait, you like about yourself?
I tend to overthink EVERYTHING
What do you think the greatest invention has been?
Ice cream – 100%.
If you were talking to a younger version of you, what advice would you give yourself ?
Don’t stress over the things you can’t change.
‘I’m Good’ is a feel good, upbeat country song that is driven by the fiddle and the sounds of traditional and 90’s country. Reflecting on all of the simple things in life that make life good, sunshine, a cool breeze, a good friend, and knowing that no matter what happens in life, there are good things all around us. Knowing this makes it easier to appreciate the small and beautiful things in our lives. Recorded in Nashville and Canada, the song features production by Trent Willmon (Cody Johnson) and Murray Pulver (Bros. Landreth), and gives the listener a reason to smile and kick up their boots to see all of the good things in their own life.
