Brett Landin, the rising star in country music, is captivating audiences with her unique blend of pop and country with a rock edge. Her performances are a delicate yet powerful showcase of talent. Join us as we delve into the world of this emerging female country artist who is making waves in the music industry.

What first got you into music?

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been writing songs (trust me, my voice memo app is full of 10-year-old me singing about Christmas and love stories). Growing up there was always music playing in my household, so I think that part of me was always being stimulated even before I ever sat down with pen and paper to write a song.  I started off writing songs to journal about my life, but as I got older and my confidence grew, I decided I wanted to give a go at making music for more than just my shower walls to hear. We are coming up on shy of a year since my music first came out and the past 12 months have been a whirlwind of amazing opportunities. It’s crazy to think that scribbling about “Christmas Time” (an OG Brett Landin Original) 14 years ago would have turned into playing music festivals and people knowing the words to my music.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I would describe the music I make as: authentic, “conversational” country. I really love telling stories and, in every song, I write, I am writing from a real place and real experience. I want that to come through in the work that I create, so that fans can always know that I will tell it to them straight and from the heart.

If you could go open a show for any artist, who would it be?

This is a tough one, but I would have to say either Ashley McBryde or Lainey Wilson. I think that they are absolute powerhouses and tell damn good stories! I would love to open and tour with someone like that, to facilitate me growing as an artist and to learn from such incredible women in the industry.

What is your favourite song to perform?

My favourite original song to perform is probably “More Than One Way to Cheat.” She is vocally a female-dog to perform (I don’t know what we were thinking when we made those notes so high) but it is one of my favourite songs I have ever written and has really resonated with my fans, so I love hearing the lyrics being sung back at me on stage. Nothing beats that feeling!

What are your plans for any future releases?

We just put out “Leaving Boots” and have another song coming out soon (shhh, y’all are the first to know!) This next song is a banger and very reminiscent of the 90’s female country songs that are so catchy and singable! I can’t wait for you to hear it! Keep your eyes peeled on my social media for easter eggs about when you can be expecting it!

What would be the ideal food to have cooked for you on a date night?

Lucky for me, my boyfriend is a great cook, and makes a mean steak! I am a Texas girl y’all, so I will never pass up a good steak, grilled veggies and a potato of some sort!

What would be a good theme song for your life?

This is a tough one! I would have to say I Keep Rolling by The 502’s! I absolutely love them and just think this song is about always keeping on but with such a beautiful and positive energy!

What was the last TV series you watched on TV?

Sweet Magnolias! AMAZING! I cannot wait for season three, like truly cannot wait. In the meantime, I have been watching Ginny and Georgia which is also killer (no pun intended).

Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

Emily Blunt or Emma Stone, 100%

Which are cooler? Dinosaurs or Dragons?

I am going to have to say Dragons! Anyone who knows me knows that I love the How to Train Your Dragon animated movies and that I have the most precious dog, Phoebe, who looks exactly like the little dragon in those movies (Toothless)! She’s my little dragon dog, and I am just obsessed with her.
