Brooklyn, New York’s very own, Matt Kiss is a versatile musician who sings, writes, plays guitar, and plays the bass.
Spending time as a lyricist, he writes his songs based on personal stories and experiences that are very relatable and catchy. His latest tune, “Hurricane” depicts someone who is stuck in their own head battling anxiety, conflicting thoughts, and relating the experience to “dancing in a hurricane”. The main chorus line states, “wish I could explain, that living in my heads like dancing in a hurricane”. When I first heard this song as a listener, I loved the overall groove and it felt similar to something I would like to hear from Shawn Mendes or Lewis Capaldi with the guitar driven rhythmic pattern and the production groove.
