Madeon releases new track "Home"

Electronic music sensation Madeon has released a brand new track, “Home,” as part of the countdown to his upcoming debut album Adventure, due out March 31.

Check out the track HERE. “Home,” the last track on Adventure, is the very first song the French artist has released that features his own vocals. The track is available now as an instant download to fans who pre-order the deluxe version of the album, along with previously released instant-grat tracks “Pay No Mind (feat. Passion Pit),” “You’re On,” “Imperium,” “Finale,” “Icarus,” and “The City.” Watch for additional new music to be released in the coming weeks.

Madeon explains how “Home” was written and describes his creative process as “

this thing that I do frequently, where I lock myself in the studio for 24 hours. I wake up in the morning, have a cup of coffee, start a clock and I have a countdown of 24 hours. I don’t leave the room and I have to write three original songs from scratch. It’s very, very intense, very physical, because sleep deprivation kicks in. Sleep deprivation shuts down a few sections of my brain, it makes me feel like I’m floating. It’s the closest thing to drugs that I would do. I start doing things and it’s no longer ideas going through the brain to the body to communicate with the studio, it’s like all melting together a little. I like it, actually. And it’s very intense emotionally, because you can never stop, you have to work non-stop. The last track on the album, Home, was written that way. 16thor 17th hour, sleep deprivation had started to impact, I was just in that exhaustion phase and I started feeling incredibly vulnerable and incapable of writing music. So I wrote a song about that kind of feeling, about giving up. And because I was alone in the studio and I have to finish it, I sang on it myself: I’m not a singer, but it was interesting and touching to have those fragile, vulnerable vocals on there.”

Additionally, Madeon has been added to the 2015 Sasquatch! Music Festival lineup at The Gorge in Washington, where he will be performing songs from Adventure and more. U.S. fans can also catch Madeon on his first ever North American headlining tour, which kicks off April 10 in San Francisco – see full tour dates below. Since the announcement of the tour, Madeon has added an additional 16+ show inNew York on April 24 to take place earlier that day. The Los Angeles and Seattle dates are already SOLD OUT, and the San Francisco show has been moved from The Regency Ballroom to The Warfield to accommodate the overwhelming demand.
