If you had a magic wand, what would you change in the world?
The Concept of Good VS Evil. That we must have an enemy. Seems like most ideologies, most governments, politics, most communities seem to ban together against common enemy. What if there were no enemy? Think of all we could get done, all we could have if we weren’t wasting our energy “combating” enemies, creating others wrong and defending our position against another.
How do you cope with stress?
I walk on the beach. More often, I sit on the beach. LOL. I watch the waves come into shore and go back to sea… over and over again. Very peaceful and reassuring. I meditate every day. I breathe deeply and I laugh a lot. I watch a lot of older comedies on TV. I love FRIENDS. That show always makes me bust out laughing out loud.
How did you find your definition of success? What is it?
Doing what I love, being able to support myself financially, being grounded and able to support others in my life. Giving of my time, my love abundantly. Sharing my wisdom, receiving love and support and lessons for others. Being able to share my talents—sing in beautiful environments and work with talented masters of their craft. I find my success by working hard… steadfastly. By taking time to nurture myself and tune into my inner wisdom. That is just as important as working hard.
What motivates you?
Doing things that I am passionate about. Things that I connect with on a deep level. I also like being challenged to move beyond my comfort zone, learning new things, doing new things, performing new places…stretching myself. And finding a new “Sweet Spot”.
I live by my motto, my moniker: Navigate with Your Heart.
Navigate with your Heart is a reminder, an inspiration, a point of inquiry and a great possibility for us to embrace as we traverse our daily lives. It sounds simple, possibly trite to some, but the instinct and intuition of our feeling nature is POTENT— powerful, full of potential and innately wise. Learning to TRUST that high frequency feeling nature, our “Heart”, and finding the fortitude to actually let it guide our experiential journey, is an art and a skill… A skill that simply takes a concerted awareness to connect to and nurture. I live my life this way. If you ALLOW your Heart to Navigate your Life, you will NEVER go wrong! I truly believe that.
Do you sing in the shower? What songs?
Of course! I sing a lot of different stuff from Bruno Mars to Kenny Loggins to Antonio Carlos Jobim. I love things that are positive with groove and flow to them. Upbeat! I call them – Sunshine songs!
If you could be a superhero, what would your superpower be and your superhero name?
My Power would be: with my iridescent Lightning Bolt- to ignite people’s hearts so that they feel the Light of their own Soul and are so filled with love that all they want to do is to share that love and that Grace with others. And inspire good deeds. My Superhero name would be Heart Light!
What would be a good theme song for your life?
Love Will Follow
What was the last TV series you watched on TV?
” The King’s Affection”. A Korean Romance period piece- The Josean Dynasty. Dubbed in English. I loved delving into the culture and morays and challenges of that period in Korea. All told thru the lens of a love story.
If you had to describe yourself as a flavour, what would it be?
Mocha, toffee with caramel ribbons running through it.
Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?
Why ME of course!
Which are cooler? Dinosaurs or Dragons?
Dragons! They are mystical and magical. They come in a variety of colors—very colorful… they can fly! And they breathe fire.
If you were talking to a younger version of you, what advice would you give yourself?
Be true to yourself and follow your own path… Don’t let yourself get too distracted on what path other people want you to follow. What path they want you to follow. Or what role they want you to play for them. No matter how well intentioned.
