I’d be called ‘Winery Dog’ and my superpower would be turning water into wine
What would be a good theme song for your life?
Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne would fit perfectly.
Which fictional character do you wish was real?
Definitely Charlie from Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I’d love to write some music with him, and sing about spiders and the Nightman.
What makes you nostalgic?
Late 80’s, early 90’s TV shows like the A-Team, Fresh Price of Bel-Air and Knight Rider.
What’s your favourite board game?
I haven’t played it in years but I loved Operation, the tense sense of panic you’d feel playing that game was outrageous.
If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?
With the direction on my new album, I would absolutely love to open for the mighty Amon Amarth. Kings of the Viking Metal Genre and an incredible live band,
Are you finding the isolation of the pandemic conducive to your writing or is it hindering the experiences you can write about?
I am actually finding this downtime great for my songwriting and recording. I’ve kept very productive and in some ways even more productive and inspired than usual.
If we were to look at the artists you are listening to, who would be on your playlist?
Lately, I’m listening to a lot of In Flames, Amon Amarth, WinterSun, Tyr, Wardruna, Arch Enemy, Wolfheart and Havamal.
What is your current music project about?
My Current finished project is my new album ‘Way Finder’ which is set for release on the 9th of March. Lyrically it is based on Norse Mythology and Nordic folklore. Musically I have pulled influence from Melodic Death Metal and Viking Metal. It’s been a very rewarding writing process.
What are your plans for any future releases?
With the release of my fourth album ‘Way Finder’ looming, I have begun writing for my fifth album. Like every album I write I am experimenting with new instrumentation and musical styles to keep things interesting. I will probably hit the studio to be recording it over the coming weeks.
