Suitehotel Playa del Inglés is a hotel with a few years behind it. The hotel, which is located approximately 250 meters from the promenade and 500 meters from the sandy beach, has 260 rooms and was built in 1971.
The last renovation of the hotel took place in 2016. The hotel consists of the main building with 8 floors and a side building with 3 floors. In the lower building are the suites – some with sea views, they also have their own pool area. The hotel is open to guests aged 16 and over. The hotel has double rooms both with and without a sea view. Rooms with a sea view are located on the upper floors – floors 6-8. All-inclusive is available as an add-on.
The rooms are quite large with two single beds. Wall TV, air conditioning, large balconies with a table and two chairs. Bathroom with double sinks, shower with shower screen and toilet. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Wi-Fi also works well in the room.
Bath towel for the pool included. The towels are collected and changed in the pool area. In the pool area, there is also a pool bar, with light meals and drinks.
Very nice staff. The staff is accommodating and does everything to accommodate you as a guest in the best possible way, especially Pilar in the Skybar. We arrived at the hotel at 22.30 in the evening and by then food was also prepared in the restaurant. Cold cut with bread and drink. When you check in, you will receive a map of the hotel. The hotel is not that big but has two pools – both heated – and also a roof terrace with hot tubs.
The hotel also has two large roof terraces with heated hot tubs and sunbeds. On the roof terrace, there are two sections with sunbeds and whirlpools, one section of which is for nude bathers. In between those two sections is the hotel’s Skybar. Skybar and the terraces are located on the roof of the hotel – floor 9 – with a wonderful view of Playa del Inglés. In the Skybar, music is presented on certain evenings. Skybar is open between 10 and midnight. There is also a lobby bar with live music – this close at 9 pm, however. The lobby bar has performances every night of the week.
There is a restaurant – buffet restaurant – at the hotel. The quality of the food is clearly good. The staff is helpful – speak English – very service minded. The buffet consists of fresh local food products as well as long-distance ones. There is an open kitchen that prepares different choices daily – to order. Everything is served on platters clearly visible. However, the range of food in the buffet is the same every day. Some dishes may be substituted, otherwise, it is the same. The dessert table consisted of various pastries, jellies, ice cream and more. Desserts are of course domestic. Wine and beer are always available with the food. Cava was also served for breakfast.
If you have booked all-inclusive, most things are included. In the Skybar, however, there is a selection of drinks that are not included (a special drink menu for all-inclusive is available). Nor smoothies. These can be purchased at a price of €5.00. All-inclusive applies between 10 am and 11 pm. During the last hour – from 11 pm to midnight – when Skybar is open, there is payment for everyone, including all-inclusive guests.
As a private traveler and tourist, I can recommend this hotel and we will return again.
