Meaning that although they will keep you warm, they won’t keep you dry.

If you want them to look like a man that is up-to-date with the latest fashion trends. Invest in a turtleneck as well and wear it under the overcoat. If they do not have a turtleneck that is appropriate for winter, make sure they have a scarf instead.  For a touch of luxury, consider a chinchilla coat.

Overshirt/ Shacket

It is a style that might not be the go-to when the winter days are at their coldest. However, you can wear it indoors when going to bars and restaurants. If the overshirt that you are going to wear outdoors, you need to make sure that it has plenty of padding on the inside of the jacket. 

Again, this is a jacket that you layer up with a hoodie or a long sleeve sweater to make it more appropriate for the cold temperatures.
