Having already accumulated in excess of 35,000 monthly Spotify listeners, with only two songs released thus far, it’s blazingly evident that EVER has an incredibly bright future ahead of her. Amongst the seemingly never-ending stream of new artists, the spellbinding nature of EVER’s music boldly and unapologetically stands out.

Speaking of ‘Indigo Sky’, EVER explains:
“This song is written about the various stages of grief I felt after losing someone I loved. I tried to embody both the emotion and acceptance I was feeling and channel it straight into the lyrics. We went for a more simplistic approach to the production to create space and a feeling of expanse, rather than filling every gap and making the music too busy. I hope it makes anyone listening feel like they’re looking out at a beautiful view, open road, or endless horizon, and perhaps can help someone who’s going through a similar experience.”
After initially showcasing her spellbinding sound on her debut track ‘Bloom’, with her sophomore single release ‘Close’ EVER ventured further into alt-pop territory in an organic and effortless way. With lyricism that’s easily accessible yet born from a place of authenticity; it’s not hard to understand why even in the relative infancy of her career EVER’s music has already struck a chord with so many. While EVER – real name Louise Smith – cites the likes of LANY, Tracy Chapman and Emily King as inspirations, it’s evident that she’s not trying to emulate anyone.
