Over the past few months Blake Rose has emerged as one of pop’s most exciting new voices. Following up on his first two momentous release, “Hotel Room” and “Lost,” Rose is back with another flawless single titled “Best Of Me.”
Written and produced by Rose himself, “Best Of Me” is probably one of his most personal efforts yet. Rose explores the heart-wrenching truths of what it’s like to be close to someone who struggles with drug addiction and explains that with this song he “wanted to give people a snapshot into what that feels like and how devastating it is to watch.” Rose’s poignant yet poetic lyricism is layered atop anthemic alt-rock-meets-pop production, creating an affecting listening experience.
Since the debut of his project in November, Rose has seen tremendous streaming numbers and an influx of press support. He has quickly racked up over 4 million total Spotify stream and adds on 30+ official Spotify playlists, and his most recent single “Lost” was placed at #7 on the highly-coveted US New Music Friday playlist, no small feat for an unsigned newcomer. Apple have also backed Rose, placing him on their ‘Best Of The Week’ playlist and premiering “Lost” on Zane Lowe’s critically acclaimed Beats1 Show as a #WorldFirst pick.

About Blake Rose
Hailing from Perth, Australia, Blake Rose has had a keen musical curiosity for as long as he can remember. One of the first instruments Rose ever picked up was the didgeridoo, a wind instrument created by indigenous Australians. However, the didgeridoo has its limitations and by the age of 12, Rosehad started to teach himself to play guitar. However, it wasn’t until a 3-month long camping trip around Australia with his family that really developed Rose into the songwriter he is today. As they drove from campsite to campsite, teenage Rose started to write his own songs in the back of his family car. On the return home, Rose started to experiment with GarageBand and Pro Tools, falling in love with the idea of creating a song from start to finish.
After the trip, Rose was accepted into a school program called World Challenge which would take him to Sri Lanka for 2 weeks. The only issue was the expensive price tag attached. Still only a teenager, Rosewas limited in job options and decided to give busking a shot. Taking to the streets of Perth, Rose quickly raised the money necessary and, perhaps more importantly, he discovered his love for live performance.
Rose’s music is electrifying. He is a rare voice hellbent on defining his own sound and his own path. BlakeRose may only be three releases deep, but he is a name you’re going to want to keep an eye on.
