NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 19th, 2020) – Country artist Weston Vernon releases new heartbreak single Too Much Thinkin’ to all streaming platforms.
“We’ve all seen the story play out of heartbreak and lonely moments leading to a few drinks which lead to more misery,” explains Weston. “When a person has nothing but time to think it can be a bad thing. That’s what inspired me to write the song.”
Country music is no stranger to writing about heartbreak, and neither is Weston Vernon. Too Much Thinkin’ taps into the relatable human experience of being hurt and craving escapism, replacing pain with lesser pain. Weston commiserates over the difficulties of being alone, missing someone, and all of the unanswered questions you inevitably end up with when you walk away from a relationship – or a relationship walks away from you. From the very first line of the song, you can feel the emotion behind the lyrics pulling on your own heartstrings.
Weston Vernon began his career in country music as a teenager in Bowling, Green Kentucky. Whether he was singing along to the classics in his parent’s garage or performing on the stage of Libby’s, a local steakhouse that hosted live radio broadcasts for WBVR, The Beaver, – a launching point for massive country inspirations such as Jo Dee Messina, Garth Brooks, and Trisha Yearwood – Weston’s love for the genre has never wavered. His sincerity is something that can be felt in every song he writes to date.
