Coldplay’s critically-acclaimed new album, A Head Full Of Dreams, is released today by Parlophone/Atlantic Records.

The album – which reached Number One on iTunes in more than 50 countries before it was even released – was produced by Norwegian duo Stargate together with the band’s long-time collaborator Rik Simpson. It features more guests than any previous Coldplay album, with Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo and Merry Clayton among those appearing.

It was also announced last night that Coldplay will headline the prestigious Pepsi Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show on February 7, 2016 in Santa Clara, California.

This morning at 10:30 am ET / 7:30 am PT, the band will celebrate A Head Full Of Dreams’ release with a live stream direct from their studio/HQ in London, at facebook.com/coldplay. The stream will also be available on-demand afterwards.
The band will also make a pair of U.S. television appearances to mark the album’s release – paying a return visit to “Ellen” today and performing on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” on Monday, December 7.
Coldplay will tour extensively in 2016 in support of A Head Full Of Dreams, beginning with a run of stadium shows in Latin America and Europe. News of North American dates will follow soon.
The groundbreaking animated video for A Head Full Of Dreams’ first single, “Adventure Of A Lifetime,” is now available on YouTube, following its exclusive premiere on Facebook, where it was viewed more than 6 million times in 48 hours.
Rolling Stone awarded A Head Full Of Dreams four stars, observing that it “might be Coldplay’s brightest album ever – an eagle’s-wings whoosh of soaring melodies, happy dance beats and Martin at his most wide-eyed.” The New York Times noted, “‘A Head Full of Dreams’…courts the communion of the dance floor, along with the good will of its allies and fans. Blissful even at its most bittersweet, it’s an album on which three songs make lyrical references to diamonds – as in, ‘We are diamonds’- and every surface contentedly gleams.”
